The aims of the Summit are to give participants a sense of the current state of digitization on the Island, provide examples of existing projects and best practices from other provinces, explore possible digitization initiatives and partnerships on the Island, and build towards the development of a provincial digitization strategy. We would like to ensure that digital technology is used as effectively as possible to make sure the cultural heritage of Prince Edward Island is available to all. By working together we would not only provide a richer context for educational activities, but also help promote the Island to a broader audience.
